Update from your local officer |

Hello all,
Just a few updates for all who live or work in my wards that I thought I’d share with you for those that cannot make my upcoming surgeries.
Firstly, it’s been brought to my attention that St Nicholas Church in St Nicholas-at-Wade has sadly had its gates covered in graffiti. This is very disappointing to see and I’d like to encourage anyone who has any information to make contact with Kent Police on 101 or online, quoting reference 46/61145/26. The date of the offence is thought to have been 18/04/26.
On a more positive note, I’ve been out and about on patrol which has led to some good results. Use of stop search powers on a male who caught my attention led to the recovery of a quantity of cannabis and a knife, which remains under investigation at this time. A separate stop and search of a juvenile likewise saw cannabis seized and he was issued a dispersal notice, returned home and given an out of court disposal. As always, I’ve been pleased to receive information from members of the public which has been a great help in ensuring that police resources are being used in the right locations!
Elsewhere, I have made arrests whilst on foot patrol of a male who was wanted on a court warrant and another for recent domestic offences. One male who chose to run away from my colleagues and I was detained after a foot chase and was taken into custody for breaching his Community Protection Notice. He has now been charged and will appear in court for this matter.
Finally, please see the attached poster for Kent Police’s Community Day on 7th June 2026. Although this is marked up as Swale, everyone from across Kent is welcome to attend. There will be plenty of activities to take part in such as archery, football and wall climbing, as well as displays from various Kent Police departments throughout the day. Having attended in previous years when the open day was held in Maidstone, this should be a good day out for anyone interested.
Warm regards, | ||
